From 10 to 12 October, the international bar scene meets for the annual get-together in Berlin to get to know new products at BCB for three days, train yourself and experience special moments with the community. An overview of what visitors can look forward to this year.

Berlin Calling! With a total of 516 exhibitors spread over six exhibition halls, this year’s BCB offers a huge range of exciting products – and the program also promises some highlights: unique bar pop-ups and exciting hotspots in the exhibition halls, a further training program that does not leaves open and guest stories that will ensure unforgettable evenings.

Summer aperitivo feeling brought to the exhibition halls

This year’s bar pop-up promises true holiday feelings – and the brands Schweppes, Mountains Goat Alpentonic, Nordes Gin, 9didante, Fiol Prosecco and Bodegas Suau mix a lot: because with their products, the bar team of the “14 De La Rosa” from Barcelona creates their own recipes at an aperitivo bar. The team around Dean Shury enjoys the freedom to let off steam completely creatively. For example, they will serve visitors a refreshing drink with beetroot and orange blossom. Another special feature: The bar replica of the hotspot is based on the real trend bar in Barcelona. “We’re looking forward to being part of this special experience, and we can’t wait to show what our team has on it,” says Dean Shury, bar owner of 14 De La Rosa.

Another BCB special is the bar pop-up with the bar team from Rumble in the Jungle from Athens, which still plays The Bar In Front Of The Bar at BCB at short notice. The bar is sponsored by Bar Fabric by Brown Forman. So for visitors: Keep your eyes open!

Versatile education program on seven stages

The BCB will also focus on further training: visitors can listen to lectures by international speakers on a total of seven stages and participate in educational workshops. The speaker program was curated by the new BCB Education Board consisting of Angus Winchester, Director of Education, as well as the two scene experts Eleni Nikoloulia and Damien Guichard.

And a varied program is guaranteed: for example, the founders of “The Pinnacle Guide”, Hannah Sharman-Cox and Siobhan Payne, will talk about criteria for objective assessment of bars. Under the title “How to Conquer the Global Bar Industry”, Danil Nevsky will tell the audience how to succeed as bartender at national and international level. He gives insights into the reality of the industry and provides foundations for a long-term strategy. Jean Trinh from the Colombian bar “Alquímico” will give visitors insights into his sustainable concept #fromthebartothefarm, for which he was awarded the Altos Bartender’s Bartender’s Bartender” award at The World’s 50 Best Bars. In addition, many other exciting personalities from the bar scene such as Chloé Merz and Philip Duff are at the start as speakers.

These BCB partners provide even more expertise

This year’s BCB partners “Parkstreet University”, “WSET”, the “DBU” and Ruben Neideck are also part of the education program and offer educational talks and workshops throughout the fair days. Visitors can prove a green thumb in the Urban Gardening Area and further train around the topic of plants and herbs. The workshop program of the hotspot is curated by Berlin-based bartender Ruben Neideck and illustrates the potential bars have that grow their own resources and deal with sustainability.

WSET provides another sparkling highlight. Your workshop entitled “How to Add Extra Sparkle to your Drinks List” is aimed at all visitors who love sparkling wines. More information about the BCB program can be foundhere.
