World Renowned Bar and Beverage Trade Show Makes U.S. Debut In 2018

Reed Exhibitions, the world’s leading events organizer, announced today the launch of Bar Convent Brooklyn, an extension of Bar Convent Berlin, which is celebrating its eleventh year as the leading international trade fair for the bar and beverages industry.

The event will be held June 12-13, 2018 at the Brooklyn Expo Center

At Bar Convent Brooklyn, discerning bar and beverage professionals are invited to network with peers and learn about new trends, techniques and products in the domestic and international markets. Attendees can also take advantage of taste forums, demonstrations, keynote addresses and panel discussions with leading industry experts. Exhibitors at Bar Convent Brooklyn will be carefully curated to feature primarily premium craft spirit brands. Select craft breweries and bar equipment purveyors will also be showcased.

“Bar Convent exhibitors and speakers create an environment for not only the exchange of ideas and best practices but for building valuable relationships and getting business done,” said Harry Kohlmann, CEO of Park Street, which works with over 1,000 domestic and international alcoholic beverage brands. “The inaugural Bar Convent Brooklyn brings that winning formula to one of the most important brand building markets in the world. It’s exciting news for the U.S. spirits industry.”

The event will be produced by the U.S. and German offices of Reed Exhibitions, which also owns and manages Bar Convent Berlin. “In Europe, Bar Convent has proved to be THE B2B event for connecting the global beverage industry with bartenders as well as food & beverage pros from all over the world. Now, we are going to focus on the American market,” said Petra Lassahn, Director of Reed Exhibitions Deutschland. “The New York metropolitan area has the highest concentration of bartenders in the country, making it an ideal location for professionally sampling alcohol as a semi-luxury. We are looking forward to the first edition of Bar Convent Brooklyn in June 2018.”

Programming and registration details will be announced in summer 2017. To learn more about sponsorship, partnership and exhibition opportunities contact Paula November.
